San Juan Fiesta 2011
Last year, I celebrated the feast of St. John the Baptist in Singapore. FYI: I cried! For the first time, I didn’t celebrate it with my family and I don’t get to devour my Lola’s special Kare-Kare (it’s my favorite. I know if she’s not the one who prepared it)
This year, we celebrated Fiesta with typhoon Falcon. I wasn’t able to go to work because of basaan, and my mom told me not to. She got anxious because I got stranded when typhoon Ondoy hit the Philippines. Despite having typhoon Falcon, we still pushed through with the catering from Lola Belen (BBM Catering). Some of our expected visitors weren’t able to come.
Our menu: (Please bear with my photos as I forgot to charge my camera. I used my BlackBerry instead)
Chicken, Lengua, and Beef—i forgot the name of the beef! lol!

Spicy seafood(my new favorite from their menu) and Caldereta.

Sapin-sapin

Maja Mais

I wasn’t able to take a photo of the sweets. We have buko pandan, leche flan, and fruit salad.
Two of my interns, Charles and Vincent.. They hold hands under the rain——sweeeeeet! <3

By the way, I got Kare-Kare from Jomat aka Baby boy! Thank you so much! Super yummy! <3

Note to self: Cleansing diet starts on Monday. I still have my mom’s birthday to celebrate! Lol!
